EvokedSet’s Liz Hartney takes Women’s Team Title at London Marathon!

EvokedSetter Liz Hartney gave a fantastic showing in the London Marathon on Sunday, completing the 26-mile course in an impressive time of 2 hours 49 minutes and 24 seconds (to be precise).   Having qualified to run with the Elite Women’s group, Liz beat her Personal Best time by over 3 minutes and came in as the 1^st woman over 40 and the 13^th Brit to finish the race. Liz’s performance also led her running team, Reading Roadrunners, to the Women’s Team Title.

Liz said: “Until the wind and rain started it was a fantastic day – the support and general atmosphere really are amazing and the sense of achievement when you cross the finish line is quite overwhelming. Normally after these things I say “never again”, but worryingly, at the moment I’m thinking I’d like to have another crack as I think I could go faster….”.
